Riders will enjoy all of the value and exhilarating experience of our Copper Canyon Expedition. The itinerary is nearly identical including the dramatic decent into the canyon of Batopilas.
We are pleased to have on the MotoDiscovery team, Coach Ramey Stroud, a veteran rider, motosport competitor and trainer. His method of instruction has not only piloted racers to the checkered flag, but more important to you, will demonstrate the fundamentals of off road touring in real world circumstances; in the Sierra Madres of Mexico. Whether you are an experienced off road touring enthusiast or new to the world of adventure travel, you will find these instructions to lend more comfort and safety to your motorcycling

Training Itinerary
Day One in Creel
Session 1 - Introduction to Off-Pavement Riding. Connecting your road experience to less than perfect riding conditions. Includes ergonomics: the four basic off-pavement riding positions.
Session 2 - Looking for Traction. Making the transition from pavement to gravel and hard-packed dirt roads. Includes control on flat and pitched surfaces.

Training Day Two in Creel
Session 3 - Rocks, Holes, Obstacles and Sand. What to expect and how to deal with these problem. Includes avoidance strategies and easy simulations.
Session 4 - Off-Pavement Expeditions. What to expect during expeditions in third world conditions. Includes “lessons learned” from experience and competition. Lot’s of time for questions followed by a short follow-the-leader “dual-sport” exercise.
